Thank you for the kind words and for reaching out. Hopefully, after a lot of setbacks, I will be returning to flying. I don't think I'll be able to go fully commercial, but I plan to work towards becoming a Flight Instructor!

I appreciate everything you've said Terry and yes you are correct. I'm sure that once I have enough time to reflect and reassess things I will have a renewed sense of enthusiasm for private flying. I don't regret anything that I've managed to achieve to date, it's just a bitter pill to swallow when you find out you have practically zero chance of now going commercial, despite the fact it was all systems go at the start... I'm 37 now, so things could change. In the meantime I need to have a think about something positive I can do with this. Thanks again, and I will give you a call soon

It's been amazing to get as far as I have and thank you for coming along for the ride! You've been here since the beginning! There will be future content, that much I have decided. The plan is to make some "Ground School" style videos and see how that works

I had a fabulous instructor... will I fly again..? Probably... just not sure in what capacity and I need to reassess properly what the end goal actually is. There needs to be a massive shift in fortunes before I will consider doing my ATPLs or a CPL etc

I'd love to fly out of Lee-on-Solent! Yeah I tried to create a channel known for either simple video montages to music, or straight up flying. I did everything in my power to avoid the cliché... although maybe I should just get on with it and produce the "What's in my Flight Bag" and "How I record cockpit audio better than everyone else"

Thank you so much Jordan. It truly means a lot to know this channel has helped others. The irony of the Diversions video is that was a spoof purely for a bit of fun one evening. Moving forward I intend to produce some more serious videos that will hopefully be beneficial to the wider General Aviation community, just don't expect me to be in the air!

As I said I will no doubt fly again and with that the fire may reignite. I am just not sure what the end goal of it is going to be

@@CJThePilot the pleasures in life come from doing the things you enjoy without the pressure of meeting a target. Do what you enjoy, stop what you don't. Life will be over before you know it so may as well make it worthwhile.

I agree, and I need to work out how best I can enjoy aviation without the pressure of necessarily becoming an airline pilot

It's the dream of becoming a commercial pilot that I'm effectively giving up on. As a result my relationship with aviation has to change and I'm yet to work out what that will look like. I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to share the specific reasons

The stories I could tell you about the ridiculous things people have said to me, apparently I "pretend to be a pilot"... you literally couldn't make it up

Forgot to add that I started watching your videos just after starting my lessons as I was looking for PPL content to binge watch. Having grown up in Bristol not far from the airport, I hadn't even considered I could one day fly myself there until I found your channel and heard the unmistakable Bristolian accent. Landing fees are steep so I'll only do it the once, but landing at Bristol is firmly on my aviation bucket list.

Everyone does a great job at Oxford. I'm always very impressed with things there. Yes, I do believe there is a tendency for those pilots who learn in Class G to perhaps be reluctant and cautious of going near controlled airspace. Hopefully videos like this one help
